GUTEN ABEN, STUTTGART!

Singapore, 1st December 2012.

Hello December!
Oh...today is weekend, and i love to hear that today is the first weekend on December. I start to hear Christmas songs and see lots of lights accross the streets and downtown. And i love Singapore for that! But....snow? Umm...don't expect to much. :p

What a wonderful afternoon.
I went to an exhibition at Marina Keppel Bay to see the Stuttgart Expo with a friend. That was my 1st time come to that place and that was like a bit WOW! I felt like in Miami Beach for quite a while. Sunset, bay, private boats, christmas trees, lamps, and jazz... Best!

This Stuttgart expo really brought back my memories when i learned Deutsch when i was in high school. It's a good feeling when i can recognize some Deutsch words there. I can say that some Deutsch words are very similiar with English and Bahasa Indonesia. And it was so funny when i heard my friend read the word "Bitte" as "Bite" and "Straße" as "Strabe". Hehehe...

I like the ambient, graphics, the real Germans with their traditional clothes, the installation art, and the festive feelings there. Red, yellow, blue, black flags blended with the food stalls. I can see that it was a mix between Germany and Singapore cultures. There were some Singapore local foods (chicken rice, duck noodles, won ton noodles, curry puffs, and soya beancurd) but at the other side...Hmmm...that what i was looking for! German foods!! I like the way they presented the foods. Started from the 1st stall: Snacks! Such as Butter Pretzel, some breads, etc. And the next stall: Spatzle, Maultaschen, Sauerkraut, and many things that i really couldn't remember.... hehehe (they really have 'hard to remember' names though!), and the last one was desserts! An authentic black forest cake! This cake doesn't have a big difference with what i have in Indo. After all... I love cheese! I love german foods! i love that sauerkraut! And nothing happened with my stomach! *which i always have problem everytime i take sambal (Indo chili paste). Fake Indoooo! Hehehe....

As an art lover, the best thing was when i see all those wooden figurines. They were soooo cute! I don't know but i really like the way they use the colors. I like the different tones of blue and brown. Just nice and simple.

Thank you to welcome me at this expo. You really made my day! And my tummy...omg... i gained my weight in 2 hours! hahaha... The best wish is... Best luck to win the holiday trip to Stuttgart! *i really kissed those 2 forms for my luck though...hahahaha*. Guten aben, Stuttgart! And see you on March! :)
