HAPPINESS CAN BE THIS SIMPLE

Sometimes we don't need to spend thousands dollar to get things that can make us feel special!

Mr. Davis... Have i told you that i adore you so much?
Blue in Green, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Autumn Leaves, Kind of Blue....
But the 1st one really one of my most favorite! Your songs really blow my mind... LOVE!
And the white bed sheet? oh well...is just clean, simple, and light. Super comfort!

And the last ones... Big sweater and typography book!! Hahaha..i really can't resist these two! Ada perasaan nyaman yang luar biasa ketika berbalut sweater super besar... Warm, nice, simple, and comfort! And the typography book is my other bed time story book. Hehehe...

CUBICLE MAKE OVER!

Been more than a year working on this white plain cubicle! Well, i can say that this is the biggest desk that i've ever had! Today i have no more excuse to say "TOO BUSYYYY!" to clean up my desk! Year 2012 is coming and i'm ready for it! Let's clean up and do make over!

Since i love pop art and everything vintage...so i decided to decorate it using this theme. Hope this bring new spirit!

THANK YOU 2012

Dear 2012 life,

I can't believe how excited and boring at the same time you can be this year! And i really thank you for that! This is truly a BIG year that i can learn a lot about lifecycle. Laughs, tears, routines, parties, fireworks, deadlines, angers, new friends, culture shocks, travels, loves, local foods, lost in translations, rains, brokenheart, joys, smiles, and many more....

Distance
Spending the whole year working overseas is one of the biggest thing this life. Hundreds miles away from families and friends but trying hard to find the new ones here. I've been missed out many golden moments. My brother's wedding, my first nephew born, my younger sister's graduation, my parent's wedding anniversary & their birthdays, my bestfriends' wedding, and so on... Oh wow i'm complete! I'm a woman, a friend, a daughter, a sister, and an aunt!! But distance is just a feeling... I know i'm always there in their hearts and minds. and i'm completely sure that prays never failed :)

Never Ending Culture Shock
Whoa yes!! It's been more than 1,5 years here and these culture shocks keep happen! Hahahaha... I start to love all these awkward moments here... being the only Indo among them. I still remember the 1st time i had all those chinese herbs foods, doing their traditions, and pretending to be a buddhist at a big temple here just to know what are they doing on their praying time. That was the 1st time i had my meditation and i almost fell asleep!!! Grrrr.... Anyway, i can't resist that chinese culture now become a big part of my life!

Travwling and The Real Doraemon!
It's hard to move on from your childhood memories. And last March i went to Japan to meet "my fantasy friend" named Doraemon. An adorable cat from nowhere, created by a legendary Japanese caricaturist Fujiko F. Fujio. Visiting Doraemon Museum in Kawasaki Japan was a priceless moment!  This is all about about hard work, persistence, passion, and dedication from the creator itself.

Brokenheart...Ouch!
It's been a long time not to talk about feeling. But brokenheart wasn't really good at all. The doomsday felt closer than it's been predicted. But what else can teach me to be a good partner? What else can teach me about failure? What else can teach me about take and give? What else can teach me about lose? And what else can teach me not to be a bitter but better person? :)

How tough it is to be a (very) good creative worker
Hahaha!! This sounds great! I always extra adrenaline everytime talking about this. Been a hard days lately to be a tough designer. This is really ain't easy to convince thoughts and ideas through people who are working in different backgrounds. Creative wise...business wise...political wise...and so on. Well, this year was a completely challenging year for me as a creative. Seeing different creative environment which i think this isn't creative at all...LOL!! No tension, no arguing, no bargaining power, no wild thoughts, no morning talks, no dirty words, no initiative ads...oh my God!!! I really do miss my creative fellas in Indoooooooooo! :)))

Coincidences
I never had any coincidences like i have lately. Meet someone thousand miles away and all these coincidences keep happen. Weird and funny at the same time. Life is too good to me, even i learn a lot of good things from a stranger. Languages, cultures, tolerance, and respect...

Well, i can't say 2012 is the most excited year but it's really a meaningful year for me. And i have a good feeling for year 2013. Hopefully.

Godspeed!!
Happy New Year!!!

GUTEN ABEN, STUTTGART!

Singapore, 1st December 2012.

Hello December!
Oh...today is weekend, and i love to hear that today is the first weekend on December. I start to hear Christmas songs and see lots of lights accross the streets and downtown. And i love Singapore for that! But....snow? Umm...don't expect to much. :p

What a wonderful afternoon.
I went to an exhibition at Marina Keppel Bay to see the Stuttgart Expo with a friend. That was my 1st time come to that place and that was like a bit WOW! I felt like in Miami Beach for quite a while. Sunset, bay, private boats, christmas trees, lamps, and jazz... Best!

This Stuttgart expo really brought back my memories when i learned Deutsch when i was in high school. It's a good feeling when i can recognize some Deutsch words there. I can say that some Deutsch words are very similiar with English and Bahasa Indonesia. And it was so funny when i heard my friend read the word "Bitte" as "Bite" and "Straße" as "Strabe". Hehehe...

I like the ambient, graphics, the real Germans with their traditional clothes, the installation art, and the festive feelings there. Red, yellow, blue, black flags blended with the food stalls. I can see that it was a mix between Germany and Singapore cultures. There were some Singapore local foods (chicken rice, duck noodles, won ton noodles, curry puffs, and soya beancurd) but at the other side...Hmmm...that what i was looking for! German foods!! I like the way they presented the foods. Started from the 1st stall: Snacks! Such as Butter Pretzel, some breads, etc. And the next stall: Spatzle, Maultaschen, Sauerkraut, and many things that i really couldn't remember.... hehehe (they really have 'hard to remember' names though!), and the last one was desserts! An authentic black forest cake! This cake doesn't have a big difference with what i have in Indo. After all... I love cheese! I love german foods! i love that sauerkraut! And nothing happened with my stomach! *which i always have problem everytime i take sambal (Indo chili paste). Fake Indoooo! Hehehe....

As an art lover, the best thing was when i see all those wooden figurines. They were soooo cute! I don't know but i really like the way they use the colors. I like the different tones of blue and brown. Just nice and simple.

Thank you to welcome me at this expo. You really made my day! And my tummy...omg... i gained my weight in 2 hours! hahaha... The best wish is... Best luck to win the holiday trip to Stuttgart! *i really kissed those 2 forms for my luck though...hahahaha*. Guten aben, Stuttgart! And see you on March! :)
